What is Subframe Collar Kit?

First of all, the Subframe Collar was born in the racing project to fill the "difference" that occurred in the factory to enhance the efficiency of production, and then massively produced for commercial vehicles.
Just like some sports cars sold in the mass market, there are so-called LSD like the sub-products of gearbox gaskets. The principle is to make the power transmission more direct and fast.

The most frequently asked question is regarding its function; in simple terms, the tolerances retained by the original factory will cause the power transmission into the slewing force when the vehicle is stressed so that the shock absorber cannot absorb all the impact forces at one time. It is easy to cause a double bounce and a slow road feeling feedback. When the tolerance is filled, the problem can be significantly reduced, avoiding the inconspicuous feeling on the road and the bounce of the shock absorber, making the car more solid.

There are other brands in the market offering Subframe Collars, yet the materials and design concepts used are not the same. For SPR, it uses the low tolerance and high cost of 7075, in order to not only acquire the maximum accuracy but also provides consumers with more durable products.

Furthermore, below are some subframe collar questions that are frequently asked by riders:

1.    Do you need to position after installation?

YES!
The original positioning arm is connected to the sub-frame. After correcting the position of the sub-frame, the positioning angle is also required to be corrected. Therefore, it is necessary to position and adjust other angles to prevent deformation.

2.    Will the steering wheel be "hemp" after installation?

NO!
The Subframe Collar only allows the shock absorber and the chassis to absorb the force more directly and quickly, rather than letting the force not be absorbed. This is different from the concept of changing the rubber. After the new product is installed, there is likely to have a period of adjustment.
Perhaps as the change is pretty obvious, so it can make the drivers that are used to the original comfort to feel uncertain, yet the change assures for the better, so feel free to drive normally.

3.    Will it hurt the car body or the sub-frame?

NO!
The tolerance of our products is calculated in terms of the accuracy of the "bar" (0.01mm). In terms of material, the aluminum alloy is also much softer than the steel of the car body. However, please be sure to hand it over to the professional chassis store for installation!

At present, the company has developed Subframe Collars for hundreds of models, so if you’re interested, welcome to contact us.
